Chicago Rapper Lil Zay Osama Charged in Cryptocurrency Home Invasion Robbery on April 16

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago rapper Lil Zay Osama (Isaiah Dukes) and five others were charged by a federal grand jury on April 16 with robbery and kidnapping related to a cryptocurrency heist. On March 8, three suspects disguised as food delivery workers armed with guns broke into a residence in Winnetka, north of Chicago, held the victim for approximately one hour, and demanded access to a safe, computer, and cryptocurrency accounts. The FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and local law enforcement participated in the investigation. All seven defendants pleaded not guilty and were ordered detained. Osama was previously sentenced to 14 months in prison in 2024 for possessing a machine gun.
