According to Bitcoin.com News, Coinbase Policy Chief Faryar Shirzad on Wednesday called the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act a "dramatic advance in consumer protection," as the Senate targets floor action the week of July 20. The bill, which would establish the first comprehensive federal framework for digital assets by dividing regulatory responsibilities between the SEC and CFTC, requires 60 votes to pass. With the Senate's Aug. 7 recess approaching, lawmakers face a narrow window to advance the measure, which has already cleared the Senate Banking Committee and received support from President Donald Trump.
