According to Beating, DeepSeek's Harness team plans to launch its first Harness product alongside the official release of V4, with both expected to debut imminently. Harness is a code agent product designed to enable models to read and write files, invoke tools, execute commands, and autonomously complete engineering tasks. The product is internally benchmarked against Claude Code. DeepSeek previously relied on third-party integrations like Claude Code and OpenCode; this marks the company's first self-developed entry into the code agent market.
