On June 29, the Dow Jones Industrial Average hit 52,000 for the first time in history, reaching 52,182.74 points, up 0.59%, as Alphabet (GOOGL) surged nearly 5% on its first day as an index component. Tech stocks led the broader rally, with the Nasdaq jumping 2.07% to 25,820.14 points, the S&P 500 rising 1.18% to 7,440.43 points, and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index gaining 3.83% to 13,709.66 points.
