ECB Likely to Hold Rates This Week, Then Hike 25 Basis Points in June and September, Says UniCredit

Gate News message, April 27 — UniCredit economists said in a report that the European Central Bank is likely to keep interest rates unchanged this week, but is expected to raise rates by 25 basis points each in June and September.

The economists noted that absent economic deterioration, future rate hikes are more likely than no action. The ECB will publish its latest macroeconomic projections in June to more precisely assess risks to price stability.
