EU Vows to Defend Rights Against Trump's Tariff Threat on June 26

According to the European Commission, on June 26, the EU vowed to "firmly and swiftly" defend its rights and regulatory autonomy against U.S. retaliatory tariffs. The Commission said the EU and its member states have the right to manage economic activities within its territory, and will respond decisively if the U.S. takes unilateral measures against EU's "legitimate policies," according to a Commission spokesperson reported by Xinhua.
