Farage Aide's Polymarket Account Received $8.8M in Untraced Funds in October 2024, Per Protos

According to Protos, George Cottrell, an aide to UK Reform Party leader Nigel Farage, received approximately $8.8 million in untraced funds on his Polymarket account (username GCottrell93) in October 2024, according to a Financial Times investigation. Of the amount, $7 million came from an OKX exchange wallet and $1.83 million from a ChangeNOW wallet. Cottrell used the funds almost immediately to bet on Donald Trump winning the U.S. presidential election and subsequently withdrew approximately $13 million in profits.
