According to Bloomberg, Nigel Farage will defend his seat in the Clacton by-election on August 13, facing fringe candidates including satirical candidate Count Binface and actor Laurence Fox. The by-election was triggered after Farage resigned from Parliament following a parliamentary inquiry into his acceptance of 5 million pounds from a billionaire crypto investor. Polling by Ipsos showed 33% of British adults prefer Count Binface to become MP, compared to 21% who support Farage.
