According to Wall Street Journal reporter Nick Timiraos and AP reporter Chris Rugaber, Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh confirmed on July 22 that he will hold a press conference following the FOMC meeting on July 29 at 2:30 p.m. ET. Warsh's reduced communication policy has created uncertainty about whether press conferences will be held after every FOMC meeting, a departure from former Chair Jerome Powell's practice. Warsh previously stated that press conferences should only occur when there is something "important to say," signaling a potential shift from the current pattern of holding them after each meeting.
