According to Reuters, German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt raised the country's security alert level from an abstract threat level to a high-threat level on Saturday (July 18), citing increased intelligence reports and evidence of planned attacks against Germany. Dobrindt stated in a newspaper interview that "this means constant vigilance against the risk of attacks is necessary in Germany" and emphasized that "attack plans targeting our country are clearly identifiable."
