According to Bloomberg, Goldman Sachs priced $2.5 billion in perpetual preferred stock on Monday, with a 6.5% yield and a first call date in five years. The reset spread was set at 215 basis points above the 5-year U.S. Treasury yield. The timing came days after a key risk metric for such securities fell to its lowest level since the 2008 financial crisis. This is Goldman's first preferred stock issuance since early 2025.
