Heavy Rainfall Kills 34 in Ghana's Accra and Surrounding Areas Since June 28

According to Richard Amo Yartey, an official from Ghana's National Disaster Management Organization, heavy rainfall and flooding since June 28-29 have killed 34 people nationwide, with 12 deaths recorded in the capital Accra alone. The official stated on July 3 that the death toll may rise as reports from other regions are verified. The downpour triggered severe flooding, disrupting transportation and communications services.
