Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index Rises 1.57% in Early Trading, Copper Stocks Lead Gains

According to iFeng Finance, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 1.57% in early trading on July 3, gaining 361 points to 23,416, while the Hang Seng Tech Index climbed 2.02%. Morning turnover reached 166.1 billion Hong Kong dollars.

Copper stocks emerged as top performers amid cooling interest rate hike expectations, with investors positioning for a recovery window. The robotics sector also gained broadly as commercialization of humanoid robots accelerated, along with strength in gold stocks as Federal Reserve rate cut bets increased.
