House Schedules CLARITY Act Hearing July 17 as Approval Odds Drop 22% to 43%

The U.S. House Financial Services Committee has scheduled a July 17 field hearing in New York on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act to advance federal crypto market oversight. The session, hosted by the Subcommittee on Digital Assets, Financial Technology, and Artificial Intelligence, will gather feedback from exchanges, investors, and blockchain firms on the bill. According to prediction market Polymarket, the legislation's approval odds have fallen 22 percentage points to 43% this year, down from a previous 65%. The hearing follows the Senate Banking Committee's 15-9 vote on May 14 to advance the bill, which seeks to establish jurisdiction between the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission for digital asset oversight.
