Gate News message, April 17 — Hungary's Tisza Party chairman Peter Mogyoró said on April 17 that MOL (Hungarian Oil and Gas Company) executives informed him the "Friendship" oil pipeline could restart as early as next week.
MOL confirmed that Hungary's fuel supply will remain secure despite volatile global market conditions. Mogyoró stated he has reached an agreement with MOL to maintain protective pricing for diesel and gasoline after the new government is formed.
Meanwhile, an EU delegation arrived in Budapest on April 17 to hold informal talks with the Tisza Party, aiming to reach consensus on EU funding issues before the new government is established. Mogyoró acknowledged negotiations with the EU are challenging given time constraints, and expressed hope to reach a political agreement on EU funding during his first visit to Brussels.
