ING: Fed Chair Powell's Upcoming Speech Could Boost U.S. Dollar, Eyes 101.70-101.80 Range

According to ING analyst Chris Turner, Fed Chair Powell's upcoming speech at the European Central Bank forum in Sintra, Portugal could boost the U.S. dollar if he emphasizes price stability. Powell highlighted the need to bring inflation back to the 2% target during his first meeting since taking office in June. ING forecasts the dollar index may rise to 101.700-101.800 following his remarks, which the bank views as presenting an "upside risk" for the currency.
