Iran Deputy Foreign Minister Denies Technical Talks Scheduled This Week, Contradicting Trump's Announcement

According to Reuters, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said on Monday that technical talks between Tehran and Washington were not scheduled this week, contradicting earlier reports. Gharibabadi stated via Iran's Tasnim news agency that Qatar-mediated negotiations have not been finalized. However, sources familiar with the talks said the U.S. and Iran technical teams plan to meet in Doha in coming days as part of efforts to shore up a fragile ceasefire agreement that nearly collapsed after both sides launched retaliatory strikes over the weekend.
