Iran Halts Switzerland Talks on June 22, Cites Trump Threats

According to Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Kalibadf, the Iranian delegation left Switzerland on June 22 and terminated negotiations after learning of threats from U.S. President Trump. Kalibadf stated that he immediately conveyed to U.S. Vice President Vance that Iran would not negotiate under threats or coercion, and the delegation subsequently withdrew from talks and did not return. The representative noted that Iran has not trusted the U.S. in the past and does not trust it now, describing this distrust as reasonable given Iran's position.
