According to Jin10, Iran's Revolutionary Guards announced on July 19 that it had intercepted four vessels in the Strait of Hormuz after they attempted to navigate an unsafe route with closed navigation systems while disregarding warnings. The Guards said two vessels encountered difficulties and were captured on the spot, while the other two retreated from the unsafe route. The Revolutionary Guards stated it maintains full control of the Strait of Hormuz and that only designated shipping lanes are safe; any unauthorized passage of oil, gas, or fertilizers is prohibited.
