Irish Authorities Seize 500 BTC Worth $31 Million in Drug Trafficking Case

According to Ireland's Criminal Assets Bureau and Europol, Irish authorities seized 500 Bitcoin worth approximately $31 million on Thursday from convicted drug trafficker Clifton Collins. The seizure marks the third successful recovery from a group of wallets originally holding 6,000 BTC. The bureau's total seizures from the Collins case now stand at 1,500 BTC, valued at more than $92 million at current market prices. Europol's European Cybercrime Centre provided technical expertise and decryption support for the operation. Onchain data indicates approximately 4,500 BTC, worth over $275 million, remains in wallets linked to the case.
