According to the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), on Monday at 7:15 a.m. ET, a JetBlue Airbus A321 aircraft reported striking a drone while approaching New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. The collision occurred at approximately 3,000 feet during the final approach phase. The aircraft had departed from Las Vegas. The FAA has opened an investigation into the incident.
