KB Kookmin Bank Raises Deposit Product Rates Up to 0.30% on July 22

According to KB Kookmin Bank on July 22, the South Korean lender raised rates on major deposit and savings products by up to 0.30 percentage points. The flagship KB Star fixed deposit product's one-year rate increased to 3.20% from 2.90%, while the KB National Happiness Savings product for underprivileged groups reached a maximum rate of 5.70%. Rate adjustments for fixed deposits took effect on July 22, with savings products following on July 24, reflecting the Bank of Korea's benchmark rate hike and rising market rates.
