Michael Burry Cuts Oracle Put Position by 50% on July 17, Denies Full Exit

ORCL-3.92%
According to his Substack post dated July 17, Michael Burry reduced his Oracle (ORCL-US) put position by 50% to lock in profits while maintaining remaining bearish exposure. Burry clarified that reports of completely closing the position were "fake news." The "Big Short" investor had disclosed the original put holdings expiring January 2027 at strike prices near $100, established in January to bet against the tech giant. Oracle's stock fell to $121.50 on July 17, marking a 52-week low and down approximately 63% from its all-time high of $345.72 last year.
