Naver Pay Launches Venture Capital Investment Platform on July 7, Backed by South Korea's Financial Supervisor

According to Yonhapinfomax, South Korea's Financial Supervisory Service launched the Naver Pay Venture Capital Investment Platform on July 7 in Seoul, aimed at improving information sharing between capital suppliers and seekers. FSS head Lee Chan-jin attended the inaugural ceremony and emphasized the platform's role in resolving information asymmetry and enhancing capital allocation efficiency.

The platform, jointly developed by the FSS and Naver Pay, provides brokerage firms with company search, AI summaries, and real-time fund tracking; offers venture capital and financial institutions standardized proposal templates and customized company alerts; and gives small and medium-sized enterprises profile creation and search engine visibility. Only institutional investors with internal investment assessment capabilities can access the platform; individual investors are not permitted. Naver Pay plans a three-month pilot phase to enhance platform completion.
