Noetra Secures 380 Billion Yen in Government Funding and Support from 44 Japanese Companies

According to ChainCatcher, Japanese government-backed AI company Noetra has secured over 380 billion yen (approximately $2.33 billion) in inaugural-year government funding with backing from 44 enterprises including SoftBank, Honda, and Sony. The company plans to procure 27,500 Nvidia Rubin chips, with infrastructure construction to commence in April 2027 and operations beginning in June 2028. CEO Hironobu Tamba described Noetra as Japan's "last chance" to strengthen domestic capabilities in critical technologies.
