Nomura Securities Reports Global Storage Severe Supply Shortage, AI Demand Growth Remains Unsaturated

According to Nomura Securities' latest report released July 5, the global storage industry faces severe supply shortages, with AI-driven structural demand growth remaining unsaturated. Nomura emphasized that market concerns about oversupply are exaggerated. South Korea's 4.8 trillion won investment plan requires at least 5 to 10 years to convert into actual production capacity, while high-margin HBM (high bandwidth memory) is squeezing general storage capacity and intensifying supply shortages.
