Nvidia's Huang Warns Smuggled Chips for AI Data Centers 'Dead End,' Prioritizes National Security

According to CNBC, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said today (June 24) that national security takes priority over business opportunities, and building advanced AI data centers with smuggled chips is a dead-end strategy. Huang stated that if companies attempt to illegally export Nvidia chips to countries under export controls, such as China, the systems will not function properly because Nvidia will not provide technical support or maintenance services. "An advanced AI data center is a large integrated system of hardware, software, networking, and continuous technical support," Huang said. "Trying to cobble together a data center with smuggled products won't work."
