RBNZ May Raise Rates on Wednesday Despite Easing Inflation Risks, ANZ Says

According to ANZ chief economist Sharon Zollner, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand is likely to raise interest rates on Wednesday despite recent inflation pressures easing. While falling oil prices have reduced urgency, Zollner expects a rate hike from a risk management perspective, noting that moving the official cash rate away from cycle lows remains prudent.
