Semeru Volcano in Indonesia Erupts on June 29, Ash Column Rises 1,200 Meters

According to Indonesia's Center for Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation (PVMBG), Mount Semeru in East Java erupted on June 29 at 4:39 p.m. local time. The volcanic ash column reached approximately 1,200 meters in height and persisted for 129 seconds.
