Seoul Court Rebukes Delio for Delaying Fraud Trial; 250 Billion Won Case Postponed to July 27

On July 21, Seoul Southern District Court rebuked Delio and its legal representatives for attempting to delay proceedings in the 250 billion won cryptocurrency deposit service fraud case, according to court filings. The court rejected defense arguments that attorneys needed additional time to review newly submitted evidence and modified charges. Presiding Judge Jang Chan noted that prosecutors had merely reduced the victim count from 2,700–2,800 to approximately 1,400 in the amended indictment and questioned why further review was necessary. The next hearing is scheduled for July 27. Delio founder Jung Sang-ho faces charges of fraud and violating financial information laws related to the June 2023 sudden halt of withdrawals.
