According to FBI reports, 21-year-old Zyaire Dontaevious Zamarion Wilkins of North Lauderdale, Florida, is accused of conspiracy to obtain financial information by computer and running a malware campaign that drained at least $220,000 in cryptocurrency from victims.
The FBI says Wilkins and his co-conspirators embedded malware into eight games and infected the devices of approximately 8,000 people, gaining unauthorized access to 80 cryptocurrency wallets. Investigators found that Wilkins purchased a remote access Trojan for $10,000 and used bots on Discord, Telegram, X, and LinkedIn to identify and target individuals with large crypto holdings. If convicted, Wilkins faces up to 10 years in prison.
