South Korea Launches 300 Billion Won Support Fund for Homeplus Suppliers on July 6

According to the Financial Services Commission, South Korea announced financial support measures on July 6 to help businesses affected by Homeplus's restructuring termination. The Credit Guarantee Fund will provide up to 300 billion won in special guarantees for affected small and mid-sized suppliers facing liquidity pressures. Banks have already extended payment deadlines totaling 4.8944 trillion won and deferred 122.3 billion won in repayments since March 2025, plus provided 15.8 billion won in emergency funding. The Financial Supervisory Service will continue operating a consultation center for affected vendors.
