South Korean Government Bond Futures Fall on July 28 as Oil Prices Continue Decline

According to Yonhapinfomax, South Korean government bond futures declined on July 28 morning. The 3-year contract fell 1 basis point to 102.87, while the 10-year contract dropped 3 basis points to 105.14. International oil prices extended losses following the U.S.-Iran ceasefire, with Brent crude at $88.36 per barrel and WTI crude at $82.61 per barrel. Foreign investors purchased 1,090 contracts of 3-year futures while selling 432 contracts of 10-year futures. Despite the oil price decline, U.S. Treasury yields showed limited movement ahead of the Federal Reserve's two-day policy meeting ending July 29.
