South Korea's Asset Managers Launch Three Barbell Strategy ETFs Combining Bonds and Growth Stocks

According to Maeil Business Newspaper, South Korea's asset managers are launching three Barbell Strategy ETFs combining bonds and high-growth stocks on July 22, 2026. Hana Asset Management will debut the '1Q Nvidia Alphabet Bond Mix 50' ETF on July 28, allocating 25% to Nvidia, 25% to Alphabet (Google), and 50% to U.S. Treasuries, with a monthly dividend structure.

Hanwha Asset Management plans to launch 'PLUS SK Hynix SanDisk Bond Mix 50' ETF in early August, combining 25% SK Hynix, 25% SanDisk, and 50% domestic bonds to capture memory semiconductor momentum. VI Asset Management will introduce an active 'FOCUS Finance Semiconductor Holdings Bond Mix 50' ETF soon, allocating 60% to semiconductors (including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix), 20% to financials, and 20% to holdings companies, with flexible rebalancing based on market conditions. The Barbell Strategy limits portfolio risk by combining bonds as a defensive shield with selective high-growth stocks.
