South Korea's Single-Stock Leverage ETFs Concentrated in 2 Stocks vs 400+ in U.S., Trading Share at 20% vs 5%

According to E Daily, South Korea's single-stock leverage ETF market is heavily concentrated in Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, with only 16 listed leveraged and inverse products based on these two stocks as of April 2026. This contrasts sharply with the U.S. market, where over 400 single-stock leverage ETFs are distributed across diverse underlying assets. Trading volume disparity also appears significant: South Korea's largest leverage ETF accounts for over 20% of its underlying asset's trading, while the U.S. equivalent represents only around 5%. Additionally, analysts note that while U.S. single-stock leverage ETF products doubled from 200 to 400 between August 2025 and April 2026, assets under management increased marginally from $36 billion to $37.5 billion.
