Spot Gold Surges 2.30% to $4,123.21/oz on Non-Farm Payrolls Day

On July 2, spot gold surged 2.30% to $4,123.21 per ounce following the release of the U.S. Non-Farm Payrolls report at 20:30 Beijing time, having traded near $4,060 for most of the session before rallying to near $4,140 post-data. COMEX gold futures rose 1.22% to $4,132.20 per ounce. Spot silver gained 3.04% to $60.9430 per ounce, with COMEX silver futures climbing 2.87% to $61.340 per ounce.
