Temasek Cites Regulatory Uncertainty, Keeps Crypto Investments Off Table

According to CNBC, Temasek's global chief investment officer Nagi Hamiyeh said on July 9 that cryptocurrency investments remain off the table due to regulatory uncertainty in the sector. The Singapore sovereign wealth fund previously took a $275 million write-down in 2022 following the collapse of crypto exchange FTX. Hamiyeh said the company is instead focused on blockchain and its underlying infrastructure based on their real-world impact on the economy.
