UK 2-Year Gilt Yield Falls 2.6bp to 4.126% as Rate Hike Expectations Cool

On July 1, UK gilt yields declined across the shorter end of the curve during European close. The 2-year yield fell 2.6 basis points to 4.126%, while the 10-year yield dropped 0.1bp to 4.756%. The 30-year yield rose 1.4bp to 5.487%, and the 50-year yield gained 1.3bp to 5.092%. The 2/10-year yield spread widened by 2.632bp to 62.968bp.
