U.S.-Iran Talks Scheduled After Khamenei Funeral, Pakistan Says

According to Pakistan's Foreign Ministry statement on July 2, negotiations between the United States and Iran are expected to resume shortly after the funeral of Iran's former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. Qatar and Pakistan, acting as mediators, held separate talks with U.S. and Iranian delegations in Doha to discuss implementation of a U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding, achieving positive progress on several specific issues. All parties agreed to continue negotiations and determine the timing of the next round of talks.
