U.S. Nonfarm Payroll Figures for April and May Revised Downward by 74,000 Jobs

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics on July 2, April nonfarm payroll gains were revised down to 148,000 from 179,000, while May figures were cut to 129,000 from 172,000. The combined downward revision for both months totaled 74,000 jobs.
