White House officials are set to meet with law enforcement groups on Wednesday to address concerns over illicit finance protections in the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act before a potential Senate floor vote, according to reporting on the legislative push.
More than 200 crypto companies and trade groups, including Ripple, Coinbase, Kraken, and Andreessen Horowitz, signed a letter urging Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to bring the bill to a full vote. The coalition, coordinated by Stand With Crypto and the Blockchain Association, said the measure would establish clear federal frameworks and preserve developer protections. The Senate Banking Committee advanced the bill on May 14, 2026, by a 15-9 vote, but several issues remain unresolved. Galaxy Digital estimates the bill has a 60% chance of passing in 2026, citing limited time for revisions and floor proceedings.
