According to Guru Club, WTI crude oil surged above $82 on Friday (July 18), amid escalating Middle East tensions, fully recovering losses from a ceasefire roughly a month ago. Brent crude returned above $84.60, marking a five-week high, with a weekly gain of nearly 16%, the largest single-week increase since the war began. The U.S. continued airstrikes on Iran targeting missile and drone facilities, while Iran struck water desalination infrastructure in Kuwait.
