Youngpoong Fined 20.474B Won, Korea Zinc 8.428B Won for Accounting Violations on July 15

According to the Financial Services Commission on July 15, South Korean companies Youngpoong and Korea Zinc received penalties of 20.474 billion won and 8.428 billion won respectively for accounting processing violations. Both companies failed to properly reflect provisions for liabilities and impairment losses on investment assets in their financial statements. Both firms will undergo external audits by FSC-designated accounting firms for the next three years.
