Azerbaijan to Enact Crypto Market Regulation Law by Year-End, Requiring Licensed Operations

According to Bits.media citing Azerbaijan Central Bank official Fidan Tofidi, the country's virtual asset market regulation bill has completed drafting and been submitted for review, with formal legislation expected by year-end. The legislation mandates that all companies conducting crypto-asset business obtain licenses from the central bank; unauthorized operations are prohibited. Licensed entities will be subject to ongoing supervision under a regulatory framework covering anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism financing, and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements.
