According to ChainCatcher, Bolivia is considering integrating USDT into its national payment system to address ongoing U.S. dollar shortages. The South American country has faced declining foreign exchange reserves and tight dollar supply in recent years, creating pressure on import trade, cross-border payments, and resident access to foreign currency.

Localitiy is evaluating the feasibility of using stablecoins as payment and settlement tools to improve fund flow efficiency and mitigate the impact of dollar scarcity.
