Gold, WTI and Brent Crude Oil Post Gains in Volume and Open Interest on July 8, CME Data Shows

According to CME data released by Jin10 Futures on July 9, on July 8 gold, WTI crude oil, and Brent crude oil all saw increases in both trading volume and open interest. Gold recorded a trading volume of 214,083 contracts and open interest of 371,921 contracts, up 82,770 and 145 contracts respectively from the previous trading day. WTI crude oil volume reached 1,543,324 contracts with open interest at 1,917,339 contracts, rising 670,473 and 11,578 contracts respectively.

Brent crude oil trading volume increased to 316,245 contracts with open interest at 246,309 contracts, up 154,568 and 4,958 contracts from the prior session. In contrast, silver and copper saw increased trading activity but declining open interest, while natural gas posted declines in both volume and open interest.
