Meta Remains Only Major U.S. AI Company Without Voluntary Safety Review Agreement

According to Beating, the Trump administration is pressuring Meta to submit artificial intelligence models for voluntary safety assessments, focusing on security vulnerabilities and technical capabilities. Meta is currently the only major U.S. AI company that has not reached a voluntary evaluation agreement with the U.S. government. Microsoft, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI have all agreed to submit models for review by the Commerce Department's AI standards and innovation center. Meta spokesperson Francis Brennan confirmed the company is negotiating agreement details and expressed hope to sign soon.
