According to Korea Exchange, retail investors in South Korea continued buying leveraged single-stock exchange-traded funds (ETFs) tracking Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix today (July 4), despite mounting losses. The ETFs, designed to double daily returns of the underlying stocks, have recorded losses of 30-40 percent, widening investor losses even as individual traders increase aggressive purchases amid ongoing market swings.
