Rocket Lab Stock Slides 3% Overnight Despite Breaking 16-Hour Space Force Launch Record

Rocket Lab's Electron rocket shattered a U.S. Space Force launch record overnight late Monday, lifting off just 16 hours and 42 minutes after receiving the official Notice to Launch for the Victus Haze mission on June 19. However, RKLB shares slipped 3% overnight and declined over 6% on Monday, as weakness in space stocks broadly—with SpaceX tumbling 16%—dulled the achievement. The company's Pioneer spacecraft was fully operational within 37 hours and 36 minutes, exceeding the 72-hour commissioning deadline by more than 34 hours.
