South Korea Raises 8 Trade-Related Technical Barriers at WTO Committee Today

According to Yonhap Infomax, South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy brought formal complaints to the World Trade Organization's Technical Barriers to Trade Committee on July 9 regarding trade barriers affecting semiconductor, chemical, battery, display, and cosmetics exports. The government raised concerns over the EU's packaging waste regulations, single-use plastics directive, and PFOA restrictions, alongside eight additional overseas technical regulations including Indonesia's tire certification standards and Vietnam's draft cosmetics management decree.
